The definition of Bloom is: A flower, especially one cultivated for its beauty. When you Bloom with Jesus, you become a child of God who is cultivated for your beauty. This beauty does not happen overnight, it is a gradual change within your soul, because of your relationship with Jesus.
You will find encouragement and inspiration through Mary’s written and spoken words. She is a “seed planter.” The person who sees a glimmer of hope in the small day-to-day routines of life. Mary’s motto is: “When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.” (Romans 1:12).
Once the seed of hope is planted in your heart, you will become motivated to stay in God’s Word and seek wisdom about Jesus and His amazing grace “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.” (James 1:5).
Are there regrets, fears and unwanted sins in your life? Come to Jesus and put your faith and trust in Him. He is the great Overcomer. The Forgiver. The Prince of Peace. Come quietly to the Lord and seek His forgiveness. You don’t need to clean up your life first, He will meet you where you are. “A quiet spirit can overcome even great mistakes.” (Ecclesiastes 10:4b).
Mary’s desire is for you to have a personal relationship with your Redeemer. Jesus chose to die on the cross for our sins. He defeated death and rose again on the third day, and He is now seated at the right hand of God.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6).
Even if you were the only person on earth, Jesus would have died on the cross just for you. He loves you. The person He created, with all with all your flaws, gifts, talents and idiosyncrasies. “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Romans 5:8).
Starting a relationship with Jesus is as simple as saying the sinners prayer below and believing in your heart that He is your Savior.
“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. For ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” (Romans 10:9,10,13).
The greatest promise God has given us is the free gift of salvation. We don’t deserve it, and we can’t earn it. Yet grace abounds when we ask Jesus to forgive of our sins. No matter where you are in your faith journey, every day is a new day with Jesus. I encourage you to cling to God’s promises and remember Jesus said, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 29:20b). Each step of faith gives you the ability to walk closer with Him and to Bloom with Jesus.
If you don’t know the Lord personally, please pray this prayer today and become a child of the King.
Sinner’s Prayer
Lord Jesus, I understand that You died on the cross for my sins, and rose again on the third day. If I were the only sinner in this world, You would have still died on the cross for me. You took all of my sins, faults, mistakes, and burdens upon Yourself, that I might have eternal life in heaven with You. I understand and believe the words Jesus once said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6). I am coming to You, oh Lord, asking for the forgiveness of my sins. Please wrap Your loving arms around me that I may feel Your presence. May I always strive to live my life for You, and to look for the blessings which surround me each day. You are my Lord and Savior and I put my faith and trust in You alone. In Jesus name, Amen.
Please share your faith story with me on my Bloom with Jesus blog, or via email. I would love to hear how Jesus is impacting your life!
